Ada County Death and Obituary Information

A long-term project involves adding obituaries and tombstone photos to our cemetery pages. We welcome any that you would like to send to add to our page. Send any obituaries of Ada County residents that you would like included in our list to Ada County Obituaries. They will be posted on the obituary page with full credit to the contributor.

Online Obituaries Just a few online obituaries.

The Boise Public Library will do obituary look ups for 5.00 each for out of area researchers. They have the Idaho Statesman available. They have online an index from current back to 1977 and are working on indexing as we "speak" to 1950. They have listed whether there is an obit or just a death notice--(0) or (DN). The Idaho State Historical Society and Library will do look ups and have resources for interlibrary loans of newspapers on micro film for all Idaho newspapers EXCEPT the Idaho Statesman. University of Idaho in Moscow has that on micro film for inter library loan. Here are their websites: Idaho State Library and University of Idaho.

The Idaho Death Index lists deaths from 1911 to 1951. This index also lists the birth date, if known.
